We use remote sensor technology & proprietary algorithms to identify projects with high quality natural capital.
Our tools analyse land degradation, soil moisture, carbon capture and more.
Northern Mexico Grassland Project
Using our sensor technologies we were able to identify this project in Northern Mexico as having attractive restoration potential and if restored using sustainable grazing would provide high value natural capital.
We identify the best methodologies and certifying bodies to generate the highest value yields. We then partner with the best project developers and suppliers for the profile of the project
We do financial models & generate our investment factsheets. We then package the projects into an investment vehicle ready for investment.
Northern Mexico Grassland Project
Working closely with our NGO partners (Terra Habitus) we identified the best methodologies and practices that would generate the highest natural capital yields from regenerative ranching.
We then match the project to the best investment partner for the profile of the project & for the right level of the natural capital stack.
Investment partners include financial institutions, family office funds and corporates.
Northern Mexico Grassland Project
We secured investment for this project from a natural capital fund to finance the regenerative ranching activities required to restore this land.
The investment helps to fund the project. We work with the landowner to implement the right kind of nature based solution for their land.
Our solutions are wide ranging & always work with nature. This can include anything from sustainable grazing to reforestation & regenerative agriculture.
Northern Mexico Grassland Project
Terra Habitus is the ranch manager and responsible for implementing the regenerative ranching project activities. Terra Habitus is led by CEO Lorenzo Rosenzweig, former General Director of the Mexican Fund for the Conservation of Nature with over 35 years experience of environmental matter and leading expert on regenerative grazing.
Our cash flows and returns are driven by the monetization of natural capital, such as carbon offsets, biodiversity offsets, water offsets, natural infrastructure and more. These financial returns are always partnered with natural and social returns in our projects which form our triple impact.
The natural capital component is a non-capex intensive operation with high profit margins and predictable cash generation.
Northern Mexico Grassland Project
Cash flow from carbon credits will be first issued in 2022 helping to generate healthy financial returns to investors. The project also provides positive natural returns by protecting important open grasslands for migratory birds and other emblematic species such as the American bison.
